We start production after receiving your order, so you can choose the size freely.

DESIGN

The thoughts behind the design

Ten years ago, Colette Gift first created this ring with the concept of "a simple, understated, and delicate design with a single stone, perfect for everyday wear - a one-of-a-kind product." To minimize the protrusion of the stone setting for everyday wear, the setting is recessed into the arm of the ring. The arm of the ring is also designed to be as thin as possible. It can be ordered in sizes from 1 to 18, so it can be worn on any finger.

Order services are now commonplace at our company, but we didn't have one at first.
One day, a man was looking for a ring to propose to his girlfriend, and requested that the birthstone ring be made a little thicker, as the arms were too thin. This is the first ring he ordered, and it remains a memorable one. The proposal was a great success, and the couple tied the knot the following year and started a happy family. We also made the engagement ring and wedding ring for them on that occasion. In this way, birthstone rings have given us many beautiful memories.

  The craftsman's thoughts

  As you can see, the arms of the ring are very thin and delicate, so adjusting the strength of the force used when polishing the arms during the process of making the ring was quite difficult.
  If the pressure is too strong, the arm will bend, and if it is too weak, the beautiful shine of the gold will not come out. This ring is born from an exquisite balance of pressure that is neither too strong nor too weak. We have many discussions with the craftsmen and have them polish the ring over and over again, and each ring is made with great care.

  February Birthstone: Amethyst

  Amethyst has been loved by many since ancient times. In Japan, it is considered the most noble color and is said to have been revered as the highest color in the "Twelve Ranks of Crowns" established by Prince Shotoku. Amethyst is also known as the "guardian stone of love," and is said to bestow the power to protect true love by fostering love and compassion. With a Mohs hardness of 7, it is a highly scratch-resistant natural stone, making it a great choice for everyday accessories.

  Amethyst name origin

  In a famous Greek myth, amethyst is said to be the incarnation of a beautiful girl. One day, a drunken Bacchus (the god of wine) was plotting to have a wild beast attack the first person he met, when a woman named Amethyst, a concubine of the moon goddess, happened to be passing by. Just as the beast was about to attack, the moon goddess noticed and instantly transformed the amethyst into pure white quartz. After sobering up, Bacchus repented of his sins and poured wine on the quartz, which instantly turned it purple, becoming the beautiful purple natural stone Amethyst.
